Adamax Tactical Academy - Instructor Information

Ron Yanor is the training director & President of Adamax Tactical Academy Inc.. He spent 18+ years on a multi-agency tactical unit; with the last nine years as the unit's training and intelligence officer. During that tenure, he authored two state training board certified SWAT courses and was instrumental in the development of a tactical medic program. Since 1999, Ron has been a contract trainer and consultant. He has authored dozens of nationally published articles on tactics and training. His instructor certifications are in various aspects of tactical and high risk environments. Ron has worked at various locations in North America and assisted with training at TEES Brazil. He is also active as a consultant on school security issues. Ron has a B.S. Degree in Education, and was a competitive shooter with a national title.

Brandon Keafer currently serves as a technology consultant to Adamax. Brandon graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois. He works full time as a Account Manager and consultant for Heart Technologies. Heart specializes in technology systems (access control, camera, phone, data and computer networking) and works with many law enforcement facilities at the state and local level. Brandon is also a Police Officer for a municipality and a member of their Special Operations Response Team. He has participated in tactical and street officer classes with Adamax classes and acts as a roll player advisor for our FTX exercises.

 
 


CPT Richard Groeteke (retired) serves on the adjunct staff on tactical and rapid deployment courses. Dick Groeteke spent 14 years as Commander of a 20+ operator SWAT team. He was instrumental in that team's expansion and development into a multi-discipline unit: explosive breaching, dignitary protection, hostage rescue, high risk warrant service and tactical medicine. His military experience includes active duty and National Guard service, with infantry and military police specialties.

 

Tom Harris is an adjunct advisor and trainer for tactical medicine. Since 1995, he has been a tactical paramedic with East Baton Rouge Parrish EMS and is now the Director of Special Operations; supporting multiple law enforcement agencies in South Louisiana. Tom also serves as a trainer for Cyprus Creek EMS for their basic & advanced tactical medic programs. In addition to his medical background, he has served as a Police Officer and Deputy Sheriff. Tom is now retired from the U.S. Air Force (Reserve) as a Security Forces Superintendent with 30 years of active and reserve service. He received the Meritorious Service Medal for his actions during hurricane Katrina.
